Vocation is a ‘slippery’ thing.  God may be calling you to a Religious Vocation. Then again… Maybe not.   How does a person discern God’s will? First of all…. Pray deeply and listen to God’s response. What draws you? What frightens you?  Ask others whom your respect for their spiritual wisdom if they see this vocation in you.  Speak with your clergy. When the time is right, contact us and the process of discernment with our Formation team can begin.

One thing we hope you will understand…..
Religious Life is not for gain. It is not a stepping stone to ordained ministry. It is not being a ‘super Christian’ that is better than others. Rather, it is a whole offering of one’s self for a particular charism and holy work.
Here are some questions for consideration:

Have you been Confirmed in a congregation that is a member Province of the Anglican Communion in union with the Archbishop of Canterbury for at least one year?

Are you at least 21 years of age?

Do you know and love Jesus Christ?

Do you have a deep desire to pray daily for yourself and for the life of the world?

Do you have a passion for preaching the Good News of God in Christ and teaching the historic faith of the Church to those who are longing for God?

Are you able to make a lifetime commitment to a religious community which is made up of people who are as different as they are alike?

Are you able to learn new things, to grow spiritually, to love others and live under the demands of abiding friendship and collegiality with a joyful spirit?

Here are some Scriptures to explore:
Romans 10:1-17
Romans 12: 1-2
Matthew 16:24
Isaiah 50:4
